Hundreds of people participated in a yoga session organised by the Indian Embassy at the prestigious 'Washington Monument' here ahead of International Day of Yoga (June 21). People from various walks of life, including the US administration, parliament, industry, diplomatic corps, media and the Indian diaspora, participated in the event organized on Saturday. Dr Sethuraman Panchanathan, Director, US National Science Foundation (NSF) said that Yoga is India's greatest gift to the world. Dr Panchanathan was invited as the guest of honor at the event organized by the Embassy in collaboration with several expatriates and American organizations. The Director of NSF said that Yoga is a strong force uniting all geographical regions and borders. A general yoga protocol session was conducted as part of the ceremony, which was enthusiastically participated by the attendees.
